Abstract

Natural farming is considered as a form of regenerative agriculture which is a prominent strategy to save our planet. This is based upon the recognition of the complexity of living organisms that shape an ecosystem and deliberately exploiting it. Farm made bioformulations (Jeevamrit, Beejamrit and Ghanajivamrita) are used to the soil instead of fertilizers to improve microflora of soil. It enhances farms’ productivity and income besides delivering many other benefits such as restoration of soil fertility and environmental health, and mitigating and/or reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Natural farm-made pesticides (Neemastra, Brahmastra, Agnistra, Dashparni ark, Ramban and Khatti lassi) are used to control pests/diseases of crops. Intercropping is encouraged over single cropping. Local cow dung and urine are used for preparation of various bio-formulations.
